LogiQR Public Beta Release Notes

LogiQR is now available as a public beta. This first release introduces the core QR Code Studio experience: a desktop app for creating, previewing, testing, and exporting QR codes from one simple interface.

QR Code Studio

LogiQR includes a desktop app for creating QR codes with live preview and direct export. It is designed for users who want more control than a basic online QR generator while keeping the workflow simple and accessible.

You can enter content, adjust the design, preview the result, test scan quality, and export the finished QR code without switching between different tools.

Multiple QR Content Types

This release supports common QR code use cases, including:

• links
• plain text
• contact data
• WiFi information
• other structured QR content

This makes LogiQR useful for both private and professional projects.

Design Controls

LogiQR includes visual controls for QR code appearance, including colors, styles, frames, presets, and logo embedding.

These options make it possible to create QR codes that match a brand, document, campaign, or layout while still keeping scan quality in mind.

Logo Support

Logos can be added to the center of a QR code. LogiQR keeps the logo aspect ratio intact and places it as an overlay after the QR code has been rendered.

Transparent logos and logos with a background are supported. The logo system is designed to preserve readability and avoid damaging the underlying QR matrix as much as possible.

Preview and Self Test

The app provides a live preview and a QR self test. This helps verify whether a QR code is likely to scan correctly before it is exported, shared, or used in print material.

Export Formats

LogiQR can export QR codes for use outside the app. The export pipeline is designed to keep exported files visually consistent with the preview, including colors, logo placement, and styling.

Presets

Preset support is included, allowing frequently used QR styles to be saved and reused.

This is useful when creating multiple QR codes with a consistent visual style, such as for a brand, project, event, or recurring workflow.

Update Check

LogiQR can check whether a newer version is available. Automatic updates are disabled by default, but the app can still notify users when an update is ready.

Open Source Credits

The settings area includes open source credits for important libraries and projects used by LogiQR.

Notes

This is the first public beta release. Some details may still change as feedback comes in, but the app is ready for initial public testing and normal QR code creation workflows.

Please test exported QR codes before using them in production print material.
