Practice

Use QR codes correctly

A good QR code has a clear purpose, leads to a traceable destination and remains reliably readable in its usage context.

Clear goals

The destination should be clearly recognizable and should not unexpectedly lead users to external, unclear or untrustworthy pages.

Readable design

Contrast, quiet zone and size should match the medium, especially for posters, labels, packaging and notices.

Reliable output

For published QR codes, tests with multiple devices and a documented target address are useful.
